Shrine for the infamous but now changed pick up joint in Bangkok. A bit dated (1999), but the location is in business again at Ruamchit Plaza close to Soi 15. It's known to be a meeting point for notorious mongers looking for freelancers during evening hours. The action has shifted to the outdoor areas, as small bars along the sidewalk of Sukhumvit Road are frequented by retired Thai bargirls after hours. Today, inside Thermae has changed a lot. It was used to be a heaven for budget visitors. Since 2010 it's mostly populated by Asian tourists from Korea, China, Japan and Singapore.

The once dominant western tourists are a small minority inside Thermae, today. Most girls line up on the side of the venue and refuse to talk or accompany western customers in fear Asian guys will not touch them anymore. Asian punters are known to be paying more money for services of prostitutes and are willing to pay higher prices for short time love affairs. Western customers prefer to engage in longer term services for a discount. It can be very disappointing to visit this venue and Westerners may feel offended by blatant discrimination due to their skin color, nationality or race. It's a shame for what it is and we can not recommend walking into this establishment at this time.
